This document describes the operational rules that apply to this topic across HOSTPHOX services.
Roles and scope
HOSTPHOX is a brand of CAPTEC GROUP. The contracting CAPTEC GROUP entity generally controls account, billing and commercial data; for customer content processed solely to deliver hosting, HOSTPHOX generally acts as processor on customer instructions.
Data we collect
We may collect identity, contact, account, company, billing, transaction, support, domain registrant, IP/device, authentication, security log and analytics data, plus customer content and technical metadata where needed to provide the service.
Purposes and legal bases
We use information to provision services, authenticate users, process payments, manage domains, provide support, prevent abuse, secure systems, meet legal obligations, maintain records and improve services. Where required, processing relies on contract, law, legitimate interests, consent or another recognised basis.
Sharing and international transfers
We may share necessary data with payment providers, infrastructure and data-centre vendors, domain registries/registrars, communications, security, analytics, advisers and authorities where legally required. International transfers use recognised safeguards where required.
Retention and security
Data is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for service, security, backup rotation, dispute, accounting and legal needs. We use access controls, logging, network protections, encryption where appropriate and incident-response processes.
Your rights
Depending on location, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, consent withdrawal or regulatory complaint. Requests may be sent to help@hostphox.com and may require identity verification.
Cookies, marketing and updates
Cookies and similar technologies are described in the Cookie Policy. Promotional communications can be unsubscribed from while essential service messages continue. Material policy changes will be published with a new effective date.
